The One That Got Away

In 1994 the RCMP investigated a double murder. Edmonton's Jason Dix was their prime suspect. Investigators lied and bullied Dix to get evidence. They even interrogated his four-year-old son. They still came up empty. After all that, Dix began to make comments that propelled his situation from awful to unbelievable. He started talking like a seasoned murderer and the RCMP believed him. As a result the Mounties launched the most expensive and elaborate operations in history. They even went as far as to stage a fake murder. Their purpose was to trick Dix into showing his hand.
