The head of the Cancer Center at New York’s Weill Cornell Medical College and the Margaret and Herman Sokol Professor in Oncology Research and professor of cancer biology discovered a family of enzymes that may be the key to treating some kinds of cancers (including breast and endometrial), by blocking glucose uptake.
