Crees choose protection of JBNQA over 15 year settlement

The Cree Nation says it wants a Section 9 to stay part of the James Bay Northern Quebec Agreement. Section 9 deals with local government over category 1 lands and agreements with the federal government. Ottawa was trying to get Cree leaders to agree to remove section 9 from the treaty in exchange for a 15 year settlement. Joshua Loon spoke with Bill Namagoose, Executive Director for the Grand Council. He says they don't to reopen the JBNQA.
