Edmonton AM, along with our friends at Transcend Coffee, have mixed up a new drink to celebrate the longest season of the year.
Once again we've entered a recipe in the city's annual winter drink contest.

Edmonton AM and Transcend Coffee have joined forces on this formidable drink, featuring Alberta-brewed Premium Rye Whiskey and seasonal citrus, this cocktail will real warm up your Edmonton winter.

Traveling Mercies recipe:
2 1/2 ounces of Alberta premium rye whiskey
3/4 ounce of French red vermouth
1 1/4 ounce of Cascara (coffee cherry husk) infused simple syrup
2 dashes of Pechaud's bitters
and one orange rind.
Mix and stir gently, pour into chilled "Canadian Whiskey Glass" and enjoy the journeys of an Edmonton Winter.
