I married a murderer and now I help youth with family members in prison

I spent much of our 7 years of marriage fighting for all kinds of things for families and for him.

Amy Friedman was a respected newspaper columnist in Kingston, Ontario when she fell in love with an inmate. A mature, educated, successful woman from a loving family breaks all the stereotypes we have about prison wives but the minute she said, “I do” to a murderer, Amy felt her status drop.
