Joel Debellefeuille

A Longueuil man who claimed he was a victim of racial profiling by police has won his case in municipal court. Joel Debellefeuille was pulled over in his BMW SUV three years ago and given two tickets. When he went to court to fight the fines, he found out the police report questioned whether he owned the vehicle because he is black.

Labour Minister Agnes Maltais

The owner of a Quebec construction firm told the Charbonneau Commission that companies would decide among themselves who would bid the lowest on municipal construction contracts. Montreal Mayor Gerald Tremblay now is asking the Parti Quebecois government to intervene. Agnes Maltais is the PQ minister of labour.

Musician Ian Kelly

Preparations are under way for Monday's big benefit concert at Metropolis. Artists like Celine Dion, Arcade Fire and Coeur de Pirate are taking part to raise money for Denis Blanchett's family. He's the sound technician who was shot the night of Premier Marois' victory speech. Montreal musician Ian Kelly will also perform.
