Canadian wine restrictions

wine blogger.JPGIf you thought a change in federal law recently meant you can now bring wines from Ontario or BC across the border here to Montreal, you'd be wrong. It's still not possible for Quebecers to import wine directly from another province despite last month's change in Canadian law. And technically, it's not legal either for you to buy a bottle at the LCBO and bring it home. Not only that, it doesn't appear Quebec is in any rush to change the rules. Mike Finnerty spoke to Lesley Trites, a Montreal wine-lover and blogger. And Hillary Dawson, president of the Wine Council of Ontario.
