Victms rights advocate wants the Omnibus Crime Bill to go further

For victims, the Conservative Omnibus Crime Bill  would mean their option to participate in parole hearings is enshrined in law. It would also give them access to much more information regarding the offender, including notification of transfers, serious disciplinary offences, progress and participation in rehabilitation programs, and reasons for temporary absences.

Michael Manning has been campaigning to expanded the victims' role in the justice system since his daughter was raped and murdered 17 years ago. He says the bill doesn't go far enough. We spoke to Manning in the Daybreak studio.
