THE INTERVIEWS: Don Gillmor | Short Story Advent Calendar

Daybreak Alberta host Chris dela Torre spoke with Toronto author Don Gillmor. In Long Change, Gillmor tells the story of a fictional Texas businessman who finds his fortune in Alberta oil. It's inspired in part by Gillmor's days working in our province's oilsands, and by a dark chapter in the life of an actual Alberta oilman.

It's this December's literary gift that keeps on giving. Chris spoke with Michael Hingston, an Edmonton-based writer and editor. Hingston and co-creator Natalie Olsen are the creators of the 2015 Short Story Advent Calendar -- a limited-edition collection of short stories by both prominent and obscure writers, meant to be read once per day throughout the Advent season.
