National Wine Awards include Quebec selections

The National Wine Awards have been announced, and Quebec picked up a platinum medal for a maple-based wine. Some Quebec grape-based products also ranked well. Quebec City-based wine writer - and wine awards judge - Remy Charest spoke with our Peter Black about the prize-winners. Listen here.

Grammy-winning producer Daniel Lanois

bwy lanois web.jpgAs much as he's known as a record producer for artists like U2, Bob Dylan and Peter Gabriel, Daniel Lanois is a musician, songwriter and recording artist in his own right. His 1989 album "Acadie" is perhaps his best known solo work, with a selection of francophone tunes. Our Peter Black spoke with Lanois as he prepared to take to the stage as part of Festival d'Été. Listen here

King's Gift exhibit in Quebec City

It showcases gifts, including some precious silverware, from King George III, received more than 200 years ago. Our Peter Black dropped by the Cathedral in December during the planning stages, and he visited again today to find out how it all came together. Listen here
