Tugliq wind project in northern Quebec

Tugliq Energy is on the verge of launching the first industrial wind energy project, in a place where hydro lines don't go, near the northern tip of Quebec, at the Raglan nickel mine in Nunavik. The Quebec City company's co-founder, Pierre Rivard, joined Rachelle Solomon in studio to talk about this new venture in northern Quebec. Listen here

A celebratory homecoming for Elisapie

Elisapie Isaac's music takes her around the world, but chances to perform in her home village of Salluit are few and far between. A new project hopes to help shine a light on the talents of people in the northern most community of Quebec. Speaking from her mother's kitchen, Elisapie told Julia Caron what she loves most about home, and what she regrets about her acceptance speech at this year's ADISQ awards.

Stornoway Diamond Corporation opens road in northern Quebec

Quebec's diamond industry is on the road to reality - literally. This week, Stornoway Diamond Corporation announced that the 240 km year-round road to its mine site in northern Quebec, north of Chibougamau, is now open. We reached company president Matt Manson to find out more about how the road was built and what it means for resource development in the province.
