Blue and Gold Recording Club at QHS

workshop.JPGThe Blue and Gold club at Quebec High School evolved from a folk music club to having a fully functional recording studio.  A year after the idea was hatched, about a dozen students are now producing and recording their own music.

The CBC's Marika Wheeler was at QHS for their first workshop with a professional musician.

Choir from Ukrainian Monastery in Quebec

monks.jpgFor the first time ever, the choir from the St-Iverskyi Monastery in Ukraine is in North America.

Twelve men will be singing at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Quebec City and then at the Ste-Elizabeth Church in North Hadley this week.

The CBC's Marika Wheeler spoke with the choir members and learned how one young man became a monk.
