BookFest on Breakaway

BookFest events celebrate reading along the Gaspé Coast and the Magdalen Islands, and this year, Breakaway is taking part by hosting our own on-air activity. Every afternoon this week, guests with a connection to that part of the province will join us to share some of their favourite books and to talk about why they love to read.

Monday, April 23, 2012:  To get things started, our Rachelle Solomon spoke with Lisa Mosher, a literacy consultant who represents the anglophone community on the BookFest executive.

Thursday, April 26, 2012: Singer-songwriter Bonnie Ste-Croix traveled the whole country recording her latest album, Canadian Girl, but she always finds her way home to Gaspé. Bonnie shares a book that was a childhood favourite, Samantha's Secret Room, by Lyn Cook.
