Festival d'Ete de Quebec

Stevie Wonder in Quebec City

breakaway pic.jpgThe 46th edition of Festival d'Ete came to an end last night with Stevie Wonder playing to thousands on the Plains of Abraham.  He kept fans of all ages singing and dancing until 11:30pm. Earlier in the day, he gave a press conference and talked about dedicating the show to Lac-Mégantic, about his work with the UN, and about new projects on the horizon.  (He also played a classic!)

L'Ampli de Quebec music centre and The Seasons

20130710_125721.jpgL'Ampli de Quebec is a unique music centre in Quebec City - the only one of its kind in North America. The not-for-profilt program helps up-and-coming musicians learn more about their craft and about the industry. Our Rachelle Solomon met with François Deschamps [pictured], an artistic advisor at L'Ampli, and Julian and Hubert Chiasson, members of the group The Seasons, who are part of an Ampli showcase tomorrow at Festival d'Ete.
