Sophie Blackall is an award-winning author and illustrator of children's fiction.

Sophie Blackall is an Australian-born, New York-based author and illustrator of more than 30 children's books, including Hello Lighthouse and illustrator of books Finding Winnie and Winnie's Great War. Blackall won the 2016 — Caldecott Medal America's most prestigious prize for children's illustration — for her artwork in Finding Winnie, written by Toronto author Lindsay Mattick.
