Sheena Kamal is a Vancouver, B.C. writer of crime novels. Her book The Lost Ones recently won the 2018 Kobo Emerging Writer Prize in the mystery category and was praised by judge Linwood Barclay for deftly casting "a critical eye on Vancouver's societal dysfunction, racism and poverty." Her next book, out in July 2018, is called It All Falls Down and follows The Lost Ones' protagonist, Nora Watts, as she investigates her father's death by suicide.
