Toronto lawyer Shari Lapena's writing career took off when she turned to thrillers. Her first, The Couple Next Doorwas a runaway hit when published in 2016, making the New York Times Best Sellers list. She has since published A Stranger in the House and will be releasing her next book An Unwanted Guest in August of 2018. In a few short years, Lapena has made a name for herself in the world of domestic noir. Lapena is also the author of the novels Things Go Flying and Happiness Economics.
