Monica Ittusardjuat is a residential school survivor. For many years, she worked as a teacher in elementary schools, high schools and teacher education programs. From 2016-2018, she was the National Inuit Language Coordinator at Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami and is now Senior Inuktitut Editor at Inhabit Education.

Emma Pedersen is a Toronto-based illustrator and visual storyteller, specializing in children's illustration.
