This April marks the 20th anniversary of National Poetry Month in Canada. To celebrate, CBC Books is building the ultimate list of must-read Canadian poetry books — and we want to hear from you!

What is YOUR favourite collection of poetry by a Canadian writer? Let us know by tweeting @cbcbooks, commenting on our Facebook page, sharing on Instagramemailing cbcbooks@cbc.ca or by commenting below. We might include your recommendation on our ultimate list!

Send us your submission by Friday, April 20, 2018. We'll publish the list before the end of the month.

Do you write poetry as well as read it? The 2018 CBC Poetry Prize is currently open for submissions. You can submit your original, unpublished poetry for a chance to win $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts, attend a 10-day writing residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and have their work published on CBC Books. Enter by May 31, 2018.
