Eva Campbell is an artist and teacher from Victoria, B.C. Her work has been exhibited around the world, including in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Barbados and Ghana. Campbell's picture books include The Matatu, written by Eric Walters and winner of the Children's Africana Book Award, and Africvillean exploration of Nova Scotia's historic neighbourhood by Halifax poet Shauntay GrayAfricville is on the 2018 Governor General's Literary Award shortlist for young people's literature — illustrated books
