Ed O'Loughlin is a Toronto-born author and journalist now based in Dublin, Ireland. His debut novel, Not Untrue and Not Unkind, was longlisted for the 2009 Man Booker Prize. His third novel, Minds of Winter, was a finalist for the 2017 Scotiabank Giller Prize. The novel follows two strangers who uncover a decades-old family connection and set out on a journey through Canada's northern Arctic as they attempt to solve a historical mystery.
