Ron James is a Canadian comedian.

Canadian stand-up comedian Ron James is publishing his first book.

In All Over the Map, James will reminisce about growing up in Nova Scotia, his early struggles as an aspiring comic, and include reflections on family, country, celebrity and lessons learned.

All Over the Map will "reveal a new dimension to his beloved showbiz character," the book's publisher, Doubleday Canada, said in a press release.

All Over the Map will be released on Sept. 28, 2021

James was born in Glace Bay, N.S. and raised in Halifax. He moved to Toronto after graduating from Acadia University and joined the Second City. After a few years spent in the Toronto stand-up scene, he was invited to launch the premiere season of CTV's Comedy Network

James was voted Comedian of the Year at the Canadian Comedy Awards and received an honorary Doctorate in the Humanities from Acadia University.

He also had a CBC series, The Ron James Show, for five years, from 2009 to 2014.
