Audible launches free audiobook service for children

Audible has launched a free service called Audible Stories, a database of free audiobooks for children and teenagers.

Audible, owned by Amazon, is the world's largest distributor of digital audiobooks.

Their new service offers worldwide, unlimited access to hundreds of free, full-length audiobooks and educational content in six different languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Japanese.

The launch is in response to the closure of schools due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

No log-in or registration required to access the free stories.

Available titles include Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, Astrophysics for Young People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë and Timeless Tales of Beatrix Potter are among the titles available.
