2012 CBC Poetry Prize: The longlist

34 writers have made the 2014 CBC Poetry Prize longlist.

We received more than 2,300 submissions to the CBC Poetry Competition.

This year's readers were Oana Avasilichoaei, Jen Currin, Katia Grubisic, Ray Hsu, Dave Margoshes, Sachiko Murakami, Billeh Nickerson, Matt Rader, Jennifer Still and Bruce Taylor. 

CBC Books, along with our partners the Canada Council for the Arts, Air Canada's enRoute magazine, and The Banff Centre, would like to congratulate everyone who's made the longlist! And a big thank you to everyone who participated this year.

The shortlist was announced on September 17, 2012.
