The Beetle Roadtrip Sessions

Corb Lund performs on his family ranch in the Rocky Mountain foothills of Alberta

Posted on August 13, 2014

One of the greatest sights on a cross-Canada roadtrip is seeing the Rocky Mountains rise up out of the prairies. There’s just nothing that compares.

What added to our excitement the day we saw those Rocky Mountains on our CBC Beetle Roadtrip was the fact that we were meeting up with Juno Award-winning country artist Corb Lund.

Corb graciously offered us a tour of his family ranch that spans four generations… right in the middle of a family reunion!

The Bar X Ranch specializes in cattle, and as you’ll see and hear, Corb Lund has a special love for everything bovine.

Let us know what you think of the video, the cows, and Corb’s ranch in the comments below or tweet us @CBCRadio3!
