"Hearing that children are inadequate to make change in the world really ignites a passion within me..."
Thousands of young people across Canada, some as young as 10 years old, break this stereotype every day by taking action in various ways to help end the cycle of youth poverty.
Through organizations like Craig Kielburger’s Free The Children, young people are given a voice, as well as the power to create change.
I spoke to a Free The Children representative as well as actual students who have already made a difference and found out why they help children on the other side of the world and more importantly, how it impacts them.
Through this story, I hope to educate people about the contributions of the silenced members of our community known as children, as well as inspire people of all ages to help create change.
