Canada's finest roots and country musicians join Juno Award winning musician Barney Bentall to put on a one of a kind event that hearkens back to a simpler time. The Grand Cariboo Opry is making a stop at CBC Studio 40 for an All Access TV taping on Friday December 3 at 7:30 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.).
Barney Bentall hosts the old time, variety show like proceedings and is joined by a mess of talented musicians. Everyone plays and everyone sings....sometimes all at once! It's a night chock-full of music, humour, warm wit and unique lyrical endeavours reminiscent of bygone days.
"It's full of life. The music takes you on a journey -- gospel, old-time country and rock. The mood migrates all over the place. There's a mix of music and storytelling and it taps into a time long ago," says Bentall.
