Tajah Olson turns her body into a remarkable living canvas

Born and raised in Southern Africa, Tajah Olsen’s art is inspired by her childhood and heritage. A face and body painter, Tajah’s preferred canvas is her figure and she incorporates her own costumes, makeup and hair design to tell her stories and convey her messages. Items such as face paint, clay, leaves, tree-branches and synthetic hair are just a few of the materials found in her tool-kit - she loves working with choppy, unconventional textiles and fabrics. Tajah holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr Art & Design University and a Diploma in Fashion Design. She is also a professional African dancer and was featured on Canada’s Got Talent in 2011. This exuberant artist is certain to dance her way into the hearts of the audience and make a statement in the competition. Catch her in episode 4 of Crash Gallery on Friday, Oct. 23!
