Over the last 25 years, audiences around the world have been inspired to be the very best, that no one ever was, by one particularly plucky 10-year-old: Ash Ketchum, from the anime Pokémon.

Along with his pal Pikachu, Ash travelled far and wide in relentless pursuit of his goal to become a Pokémon Master. Over 1,200 episodes later, that dream has finally become a reality — which means, it's at long last time for Ash and Pikachu to say goodbye.

Sarah Natochenny has been the English voice actor behind Ash Ketchum for the last 17 years. She drops by Commotion to look back on Ash and Pikachu's cultural impact over the years, and reflect on the legacy they leave behind.
