• According to an article written by Marc Bosc for the Canadian Parliamentary Review (Summer 1989), there was no change to the old parliamentary system of hiring of page boys until 1968, when the minimum age was raised to 16.  The Globe and Mail reported on Sept. 29, 1978 that the first female pages had been appointed and would begin on Oct. 10 when parliament reconvened.  That year also brought about another change in age, and the pages were to be university students and not in high school.

• Red Kelly talks about his hockey and parliamentary careers in this 1994 Midday television clip.
