Petula Clark on the set of Goodbye Mr. Chips

The Story

CBC-TV's Toronto current affairs program The Day It Is likes to stay on top of what's happening in the city. When British pop singer Petula Clark come to town for a weeklong series of concerts at the O'Keefe Centre, it pulls out an interview with Clark conducted the previous summer. In this clip, host Warren Davis interviews her on the set of Goodbye Mr. Chips, asking her about singing in both English and French and her opinion about Canada's language divide. "I thought we were going to talk about Goodbye Mr. Chips!" she responds, after a slight eye roll.
