Model home of 1958

The Story

Teak, turquoise and everything Swedish make this model home a hit at the 1958 Home Show in Toronto. Strolling room to room, the hosts of Open House agree that $15,690 is "not bad" for a three bedroom, two story home with an eat-in kitchen. Their tour also offers a glimpse into the early years of television as they navigate a few awkward moments caused by the limits of the stationary television cameras of the day.
