Did You know?


• The Toronto Star took a similar angle on the news featured in this report. On the front of the next day's paper, the Star reported that "you'll be buying chicken by the kilogram instead of by the pound" when the new rules take effect.

• The Star report from Nov. 25, 1981, also notes that two CBC personalities -- Bruno Gerussi and Jehane Benoit -- were being paid to help teach the public "how to cook in metric."
