David Adams Richards returns to Fredericton

The Story

In 1984, writer David Adams Richards has just returned to Fredericton to teach at the University of New Brunswick. After living in Victoria and Spain, the reporter describes his life as having come "full circle," as we see in this profile from CBC-TV's Inquiry. (He would later move to Toronto.) This clip features footage of the Miramichi region -- the setting of so much of Richards' writing -- as well as conversations with the author, brief readings from his work and comments from his colleagues.
