Preparing traditional regalia for Native Grad 2013

More than 100 graduates were honoured at this year's Native Graduation Ceremony in Whitehorse. The grads were decked out in a breathtaking array of traditional attire.  Work on the gowns and the dress started months ago at workshops hosted by the Northern Cultural Expressions Society.  Nancy Thomson dropped by one workshop in mid-March.

The graduates were on stage at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre where Assembly of First Nations National Chief Shawn Atleo gave the keynote address.  And a special congratulations to the John family of Ross River.  Four generations of women in their family attended the ceremony.
