Matthew Anderson on the joys of pilgrimage

Spring and Easter are about renewal. There's practical renewal - think Spring cleaning - and there's spiritual renewal. One expression of spiritual renewal that's growing in popularity is the pilgrimage, a journey to sacred places.

Matthew Anderson teaches theological studies and co-created a course on pilgrimage at Concordia University in Montreal. He has done many pilgrimages himself, including part of the well-known 800-km walk to Santiago de Compostela across the Pyrennees in Spain.

He's also filmed pilgrims on that journey for the documentary Something Grand. Matthew Anderson joins host Sonali Karnick in studio.
