Le Patin Libre: a cool show for a hot summer

Patin Libre.jpgLe Patin Libre is a contemporary ice skating company from Montreal.  What they do doesn't quite fit into the box.

The collective was founded by former high-level figure skaters, and they  combine that art with dance and martial arts on the ice.

They're in Montreal to perform on the fringe of the Complètment Cirque festival. Our summer host Pierre Landry joined them at a rehearsal at the rink. (Photo by Pierre Landry)

An incredible year for Just For Laughs Theatricals

943327_10151450850399072_1949577327_n.jpgIt was just a year ago when the theatre company Just For Laughs Theatricals launched and there's been no slowing down since.

From co-producing shows on Broadway in New York City and in London, the company has made it a step farther: it was just announced they will be the lead producer for the musical Made In Dagenham.

CEO Adam Blanshay is the man behind JFL Theatricals and he speaks to host Morgan Dunlop about the trials and tribulations of putting on musicals, the success of the company and what's happening next for him.
