The Coobook Club tackles quinoa

This week our Cookbook Club got familiar with an ancient grain. Linda Santo and Karen Delage tested out "The Vegetarian's Complete Quinoa Cookbook" from the Ontario Home Economics Association, edited by Marilyn Smith.
If you've never had quinoa before, it's origins are in South America and it's one of the trendiest foods right now because of its high protein, low-fat and gluten-free content. From brownies to quiche to salads, our All is a Weekend cookbook club members got to know the many uses for quinoa over the last few weeks.
Linda is retired and lives in Sutton where she and her husband tested out the recipes. Karen just opened a new café in Montreal and tried out some of the recipes there on her customers.
They spoke with Sonali Karnick about how their recipes turned out and whether they think this cookbook is a good buy.
