James Little meets Charles Dickens in Montreal
Montreal has been attracting tourists to the city since the 19th century. One well-known visitor to North America was Charles Dickens who spent two weeks in Montreal in 1842 .
His trip has sparked the imagination of a local writer. James Little's short story about Dickens was shortlisted in the 2011 Quebec Writing Competition. It's now part of a collection of historical fiction called Could Be.
He'll be reading his Dickens story "Train Ride" at the Atwater Library this week. He spoke with Sonali Karnick this morning.
