D is for Dinner: A Tudor cheese pie

cheese-tart-of-lent2.jpgYou may remember Erin Thornton, one of our "food fantasy" finalists, who raised over $3,000 for the Ottawa Food Bank in exchange for making her food fantasy come true. That fantasy? For this history buff, it was to cook in a real Tudor-era kitchen.

Well, we got Hampton Court outside of London, England to invite Erin to cook there -- but she just has to get there first. You can find out more about her fundraising campaign here, and you can find her recipe for Tudor-era cheese pie and "gyngerbrede" over here.
