Is ink becoming obsolete?

Author and University of Alberta English professor Ted Bishop is writing about the social history of ink, and is presenting a series of public lectures on the subject in Edmonton this week. He looks at whether ink is becoming obsolete in this digital age.

Today, his topic is From Bomber Crews to Bourne Identity. Thursday, he's focusing on Chinese Ink Sticks. And then, on Friday, you will get to make ink out of gallnuts. The talks take place at 3:30 in Lecture Theatre 1 of the Humanities Centre at the University of Alberta. They are free with a wine and cheese to follow on Friday.
