New study looks at growth of tundra shrubs

As the earth warms, evergreens shrubs will grow in the arctic more than previously expected. That's one conclusion from a recent study published in the Journal of Ecology.

Although this doesn't seem like an earth-shattering discovery, one of the co-authors says the implications should be taken seriously.

Paul Grogan is an ecologist at Queen's University.
