The personal journey of Waawaate Fobister

Waawaate Fobister grew up in the small community of Grassy Narrows, Ontario, a tough place for a young, gay aboriginal man to live.

He turned his personal experiences into an award-winning play, Agokwe, and now hopes his experiences can help other young aboriginal people.

He's in Whitehorse to perform Agokwe as part of Nakai Theatre's Pivot Festival. Click on the link below to hear him speak with Dave.
