Brian JungenBrian Jungen is one of Canada's best known young artists. In 2002, he won the $50,000 inaugural Sobey Art Award. In 2004, the Warhol Art Foundation granted the Vancouver Art Gallery $50,000 to organize a travelling exhibit of Jungen's work, which often involves the transformation of everyday objects.

He fashioned Northwest Coast Indian style masks out Nike sneakers, and a gigantic whale skeleton out of plastic lawn chairs.
