In 2000, Dave was the first broadcast journalist on the ground during the Walkerton water disaster. He lead the team that won several awards for CBC's coverage of the e.coli outbreak and of the public inquiry into the tragedy that claimed 7 lives.
Dave has won numerous other awards for his investigations into crime, justice and courts - notably corruption within the Toronto police force, casino corruption, gambling addiction and boating safety.
Before CBC, Dave got his start at CFRB Radio in Toronto. He holds two Master's degrees, one in Journalism from Western. The other is in Canadian History from Queens where his thesis focused on the origins of violence in Canadian Ice Hockey. |
