Canadian-led search team finds no sign of Steve Fossett

A Canadian-led team of 10 people has ended its week-long search for adventurer Steve Fossett with no success.
The multi-millionaire American has been missing since last September when his small plane vanished in western Nevada during what was supposed to be a routine flight.
This latest search was led by Simon Donato, a 31-year-old Calgary geologist and adventurer.
Donato said if Fossett's plane crashed in a mountainous area, it was likely hit with a powerful downdraft.
Donato and his team of athletes and expert mountaineers packed up their gear on Saturday after taking a day to explore a steep canyon in Nevada's Wassuk Range.
Earlier, they spent six days hiking in the Sweetwater Mountains and Bodie Hills to the west, on the state's border with California.
Fossett, who was declared dead in February, is best known for setting records in high-tech balloons, gliders, jets and boats. In 2002, he became the first person to circle the world solo in a balloon.
