Live Tweet

twitterbird.jpgHello listeners of the tweeting persuasion!

We're very excited to announce that Saturday, March 3, at 3:30 pm Eastern Time, Jonathan and the WireTap Gang will be live-tweeting throughout the WireTap broadcast. Think of it as a kind of director's commentary, but live on twitter. We'll be answering your questions and dishing all the behind the scenes dirt.

So tune in to CBC Radio One, log in to twitter and follow the hashtag #wiretaplive. You can join in the conversation by using that same hashtag.

You'll want to follow some of these Twitter accounts to get in on the action:

Not in the Eastern Time Zone? Not a problem! You can still listen in via the CBC Live Stream. Just make sure to select the Toronto or Montreal stream so that you'll be synched up with us in the ET zone.

Tweet you soon!

World Wide What

wiresworld.jpgWhether you're an early adopter or a modern-day Luddite, there's no denying that the internet is playing an ever-increasing role in our society. But what is it doing to our brains? We speak with Pulitzer Prize nominee Nicholas Carr about how the web is changing how we think. Plus, Jonathan's 70 year-old father explains YouTube, and a love story that revives a method of communication even slower than snail mail. And don't miss the latest appearance by Howard Chackowicz!

Featuring Starlee Kine, Buzz Goldstein and a theme song by the Heart of the Fox. Submit your own WireTap theme song.

Envy

icecreamdog.jpgOf all the deadly sins, Envy is perhaps the darkest. No one wants to admit to harbouring such a mean little emotion. Yet we've all experienced it at one time or another. This week, we speak with author Joseph Epstein about what he calls the least fun of sins. Plus, a woman who envies everyone she meets, and a train ride to Montreal becomes one man's personal hell.

Featuring David Rakoff, Starlee Kine and Gregor Ehrlich.
