Cree syllabic writing contest gets 9 entries
The Cree Cultural Institute in Ouje-bougoumou held a syllabic writing contest for adults and students throughout Eyou Istchee. People were asked to write about what they value the most in Cree culture and language. When the contest closed at the end of March, nine people had submitted their stories. Betsy Longchap spoke with Gaston Cooper, the media relations officer at the Cree Cultural Institute.
