MSDC helps elders stay well, fight loneliness
In the communities, many elders stay with family. But people are busy and when the elders are stuck at home alone, they can get lonely. A few years ago the Cree Health Board began setting up Multi-Service Day Centers in each community. Juliet Iserhoff from Chisasibi is 92 years old and spends a few days a week at the MSDC. Melissa Natachequan visited her there.
Kim Moses is the Activity Team Leader at the MSDC in Chisasbi. Melissa Natachequan spoke with her after sitting with the elders to talk about her job.
