Grand Chief on news Plan Nord is no more
Quebec's new Minister of Natural Resources, Martine Ouellet, surprised many people early in October by announcing that the Plan Nord was going to be buried. The development plan was a cornerstone of Quebec Liberal Party premier Jean Charest's government and was one of the biggest economic, social and environmental projects of our time. Many of the projects planned as part of Plan Nord are ones that involve the Cree Nation. Melissa Natachequan spoke with Grand Chief Matthew Coon Come to get his reaction on this announcement.
